YWEN, in partnership with AMAZE, undertook a collaborative initiative to develop and tailor sexual and reproductive health materials for Adolescent Girls and Young Women (AGYW) in Namibia. The material ranged from animated videos to reading material, which was translated into three Indigenous languages namely Oshindonga, Rukwangali, and Damara/Nama including Namibian sign language and targeted AGYW) aimed to create a sense of curiosity among young girls about their sexual health to break down taboos and harmful beliefs around sexual health in their communities, Empower adolescent girls and young women (AGYW) with the right information to enable them to make informed decisions regarding reproductive or sexual health and to create a safe and conducive environment for adolescent and young women (AGYW) where they can share their experiences and be able to ask any questions freely.
