YWEN Ambassadors
YWEN Ambassadors
YWEN trained 15 young ambassadors as part of its ongoing efforts to empower youth in
underserved communities. The training focused on leadership, advocacy, and SRHR (Sexual
and Reproductive Health and Rights) education, equipping the ambassadors with the skills
and knowledge needed to serve as community role models. These young leaders are now
better prepared to raise awareness on key issues such as HIV prevention, gender equality, and
access to healthcare services. Through this initiative, YWEN continues to invest in youth
empowerment, fostering a new generation of advocates for positive change.
The impact of this training extends beyond the individual ambassadors. By becoming
advocates within their communities, these young leaders are helping to challenge and shift
cultural norms around sexual and reproductive health. Their newfound expertise and
confidence enable them to engage peers and community members in meaningful dialogues,
breaking down barriers to information and fostering a more informed and supportive
environment. The program has already begun to show promising results, with increased
community engagement and a heightened awareness of critical issues.
Moreover, the training initiative has sparked a ripple effect, inspiring other young people to
get involved and take action. As these ambassadors share their experiences and knowledge,
they are motivating their peers to become advocates themselves, creating a growing network
of informed and empowered youth. YWEN’s commitment to nurturing these young leaders is
setting the stage for long-term, sustainable change, as these future leaders carry forward the
mission of promoting health, equality, and access to services in their communities.
